Self-sharpening ceramic grit is used for the FS 966 ACT to ensure consistently high aggressiveness and cutting results even when working with high-alloy type steels.

The grain type and bonding agent of the FS966 fiber discs are perfectly adapted to the Advanced Coating Technology for optimal behavior with respect to “aggressiveness” and “service life”.

Advanced Coating Technology (ACT)  gives improved grit adhesion and ensures that the abrasive grit does not break out until it has been effectively used up.

Whilst developed prominently for use on stainless the FS966 also performs very well for hand grinding of mild steel weld seams, edges and surface.

In tests carried out the FS966 removed over 4 times more material than a premium brand zirconia product during its total life, removing stock 171% faster.
