Optrel Weldcap RC9-12 Welding Head Shield DIN 9-12
The Optrel weldcap® demonstrates a completely new approach to automatic welding protection masks. The lightness and flexibility of textile materials results in a completely new feeling of comfort when worn. Combined with a rugged plastic face protector, the welder enjoys maximum safety when working.The innovative geometry enables unprecedented improvement in the field of vision of over 170% compared to traditional welding helmets.
Application range includes all electric arc welding processes MMA / MIG / MAG GMAW) / GMAW, High melting rate process / Flux Cored Wire Welding / TIG welding / Plasma Arc Welding / Micro Plasma Arc Welding / Plasma cutting & Oxy-gas Welding and Grinding. Prohibited for laser welding.
Light weight compound welding mask with large viewing area, true colour filter and bright see-through state;
The shade level specifies how much the ADF darkens, each shade level is selected according to the welding process and amperage. Variable darkening levels from 9 to 12 cover the majority of welding applications.
With a protection shade level 3 in its general mode, the welder has a bright an well-lit view of the work-place, this feature predestinates the Optrel weldcap® for grinding jobs as well.
At the heart of weldcap® is the optical unit featuring a well-defined nose cut out, this allows the visual unit to be placed closer to the eyes compared to traditional welding helmets, this helps to increase the welder’s line of sight by 2.7 times! This creates a better feeling for space and helps to increase the work performance as well as the safety of a welder.
The replaceable mask material PA6, flame inherent double layer textile part is robust and easily detached, and washable up to 40 times.
The Optrel Weldcap® is completely hygienic and classified for EN 379 and EN175 F.
The Weldcap® weighs only 400 grams, making it absolutely lightweight, the weldcap® is excellently counterbalanced, the load on the back of the welder’s neck is significantly reduced. This relieves the welder of about 200 kg load capacity over a year, when compared to conventional welding helmets.
