Product Overview

  • 309LSi grade stainless steel MIG welding wire is a continuous solid corrosion resisting chromium-nickel wire for joining stainless steels to non-alloy or low alloy steels.

309LSi deposits a 23% Cr / 13% Ni austenitic stainless steel weld metal with a ferrite content of about FN 11, the high alloy level and high ferrite content enables the weld metal to tolerate dilution from carbon and low alloy steels without hot cracking.

309LSi has enhanced silicon content which improves the fluidity of the melt pool with a minimum of spatter and porosity, this also ensures a nice and smooth weld surface.
