The soft foam backing is more flexible than conventional paper backed sandpaper. To access tight locations, the foam backing has been made relatively thin as compared to many other sanding sponges.

These versatile sanding sponges are used for hand-sanding applications where you need more precision and detail than could be achieved with machine-sanding methods.

Aluminum oxide mineral cuts fast while grinding, blending and deburring. Aluminum oxide is a premium grain with higher fracture strength, meaning the mineral will fragment and renew more readily. Fragmenting continually exposes new, sharp cutting edges as the mineral wears, which maintains the cutting effectiveness and extends the life of the abrasive.
