Features:
Conventional tack cloths are based on open weave fibre yarn or non-woven bonded fibres, all of which suffer from massive fibre shed when they experience any abrasion or snagging.
Takrag D3047 is based on continuous filament yarn – this means that abrasion or snagging is less likely to cause the annoying and costly release of small fibres during use.
D3047 Takrags are manufactured using a unique spatial arrangement of looped yarns which efficiently collect and retain fibres. Tests have shown that dirt and fibre counts made at the end of the paint finishing line can be reduced by up to two thirds, dramatically reducing re-work and subsequent costs.
This structure also prevents any surface damage from shedding particles and clearly demonstrates their superior performance over conventional tack cloths.
The D3047 tack rag has only two cut edges and does not release fibres when severed.
As the Takrag D3047 is only lightly impregnated with resin, it minimises resin transfer and is therefore suitable for all final finishing operations.
