MIG & TIG Torch Gasflow Tester
Without any kind of gas flow indicators you are working blind when it comes to accurate shielding gas flow setting,on many shielding gas regulators the output pressure gauge reading is often different to that at the end of the torch. If two little gas is delivered then this can result in problems with shielding of the weld pool and oxidization, to much can mean wasted gas and money.
Gas flow tester is a simple devise which helps accurately check and set the correct amount of gas required is being delivered at the torch outlet.
You simply place the Gas Flow Tester over the end of your MIG/TIG torch, press the welding torch trigger and adjust your gas regulator until you get the required flow rate is shown in the calibrated tube.
The general recommendations for Mig welding are around 7-12 litres per minute for mild steel solid wires, higher for stainless and aluminium at around 16-20 litres per minute and Tig welding around 6-12 litres per minute irrespective of the material.
